Death note

Light Yagami is an intelligent young adult who resents crime and corruption in the world. His life undergoes a drastic change when he discovers the Death Note, a notebook that contains five written instructions: The human whose name is written in this notebook will die.
This notebook will not take effect unless the writer has the subject's face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected. If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the subject's name, it will happen. If the cause of death is not specified, the subject will simply die of a heart attack. After writing the cause of death, the details of the death should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds. There are many other rules that are revealed as the story develops, usually in the form of sequence breaks in between scenes. After several experiments with the Death Note, Light realises the notebook's authenticity and encounters the previous owner, a shinigami called Ryuk. Light explains to Ryuk his plan of exterminating all the criminals in the world, until there are only people who he has judged to be honest and kind. Once he finishes this, he will begin his reign as the god of this new world.
Soon, the number of inexplicable deaths of criminals catches the attention of the International Police Organization and the world-famous detective, "L". L quickly learns that the serial killer, publicly known as "Kira" (derived from the Japanese pronunciation of the word "killer"), is located in Japan and can kill people without laying a finger on them. Light realises that L will be his greatest nemesis, and begins a cat and mouse game with L. Light attempts to create an alibi by helping L and his investigate team track down Kira. His plan is impeded by a second Kira, famous model Misa Amane, and her shinigami Rem. Misa and Light meet and work together; they are increasingly suspected by L. To save themselves from execution, Misa and Light temporarily relinquish control of their Death Notes erasing their memories of the shinigami and the notebooks and are placed under constant surveillance by L. During their detention, a third Kira under the employ of the Yotsuba Group appears. Light and Misa are freed when it becomes apparent that they are not responsible for the murders of Yotsuba's rivals. The investigative team infiltrate Yotsuba and discover the third Kira is Yotsuba member Kyosuke Higuchi and attempt to capture him. Upon Higuchi's capture, Light regains the Death Note "just as [he] planned" and kills Higuchi. He completes his complex plan by manipulating Rem into killing both L and herself. Light becomes the "new L" upon L's death, and continues a charade of searching for Kira. The narrative continues four years later, with Kira attracting a large network of contacts and a swell of public support. Two children, Near and Mello, raised by L's former guardian Watari to follow L's legacy, serve as antagonists to Light: Near as an independent detective; and Mello as a member of the Mafia. Mello's first action to oppose Kira is to kidnap the director of the NPA, and after his murder, Light's sister Sayu, to use as a bargaining chip to obtain the Death Note. Light's Task Force recapture Sayu and learn Mello's real name after Light's father Soichiro trades half of his remaining life for the ability to discover anyone's names, but Soichiro later dies of gunshot wounds. Concurrently, Near and several members of the Task Force begin to suspect Light of being Kira. In response, Light persuades Misa to give up her Death Note and raises another Kira, Teru Mikami, a prosecutor and fervent supporter of Kira. Mikami kills Kira's former spokesman for being greedy and recruits Kiyomi Takada, a newscaster and Light's former girlfriend, to replace him. Mello returns and kidnaps Kiyomi, who manages to kill Mello with a hidden Death Note piece. Light then makes Kiyomi commit suicide to prevent her from implicating him, but Mikami, unaware of Light's actions, attempts to kill her with his own Death Note. Near reveals that Mikami's notebook is a fake, and is therefore able to prove Light is Kira. In desperation, Light tries to use the last Death Note piece in his watch to kill the rest of the Task Force, but Matsuda shoots him repeatedly. On the verge of dying, Light begs Mikami to write their names in his own Death Note, however Mikami commits suicide by inflicting a wound to himself. Realizing Light has lost, Ryuk uses his Death Note to kill Light with a heart attack, which is a part of the agreement of the Shinigami with the first person who uses the death note.

Hunter x Hunter

Twelve years prior to the start of the story, Ging Freecss left his infant son, Gon, with Gon's aunt, Mito, on Whale Island. Gon, who was told all his life that both his parents were dead, finds out from Ging's apprentice, Kite, that his old man is still alive and has since become an accomplished Hunter.[2][3][4] Hunters are licensed, elite members of humanity who are capable of tracking down secret treasures, rare beasts, or even other individuals.[5] Gon leaves his home to become a Hunter like his father by taking the Hunter Examination, a series of brutal tests involving skill, survival, and teamwork.[2] During the exam, Gon meets and eventually befriends three of the other applicants: Kurapika, the last remaining member of the Kurta clan whom wishes to become a Hunter in order to avenge his clan and recover their scarlet-glowing eyes, plucked from their corpses by a band of thieves known as the Phantom Troupe; Leorio, a prospective physician who desires the financial benefits Hunters receive in order to pay for medical school; and Killua Zoldyck, another twelve-year-old boy who has left his former life as a member of the world's most notorious assassin family.[3][4][5] Among many other examinees, Gon continuously encounters Hisoka, a mysterious and deadly conjurer whom takes an interest in Gon. The Final Phase of the Hunter Exam sees Gon passing the official part of the exam in anticlimax and Killua failing after killing another applicant out of frustration. However, it is then revealed that one more secret task is required of the applicants for them to pass the Exam. The trio then travels to Killua's home estate in order to retrieve the boy from his overbearing family.
After Killua returns to the group, Leorio and Kurapika depart in order to accomplish their own goals; the four promise to meet again in Yorknew City in the September of that year. Gon and Killua decide to gain both combat experience and money at the Heavens Arena, a skyscraper where thousands of martial artists compete daily in fighting tournaments.[6] There they meet a kung fu master named Wing, who trains them in utilizing Nen, a Qi-like life energy utilized by Hunters to manifest parapsychological abilities--also considered to be the final requirement to pass the Hunter Exam. In the climax of the arc, Gon refaces Hisoka in the Heavens Arena in his final challenge of the Examination.
The next story arc reunites the main characters for the world's largest auction in the sprawling metropolis of Yorknew City. Gon, Killua, and Leorio try different methods to make enough money to buy Greed Island, an extremely rare and expensive video game with Nen-like properties that may help Gon locate his father.[7] Meanwhile, Kurapika starts working as a bodyguard for a mafioso's daughter--a teenaged clairvoyant flesh collector whom is interested in a pair of Kurta Clan eyeballs being auctioned off. While at the auction, Kurapika crosses paths with the Phantom Troupe, whom are in Yorknew City in order to steal all of the goods from the mafia's underground auction.[7] A gang war between the mafia and the Phantom Troupe rocks Yorknew City in the first week of September, eventually forcing the protagonists to all get involved and eventually cross paths. Kurapika struggles with his desires for revenge and his relationships, having to decide whether or not to sacrifice his friends as pawns in order to achieve his own vengeance. Hostages are taken and the climax of the arc results in an exchange between Kurapika and the leader of the Phantom Troupe, Chrollo Lucilfer.
In the final days of the auction, Gon and Killua are hired by a multi-billionaire to play Greed Island, the billion-dollar video game created by Ging Freecss that takes place somewhere in the real world. The game, created with Nen, rewards one by allowing them the choice of taking three magical items from the game into the real world. Inside Greed Island, the Phantom Troupe starts to play the game for mysterious reasons, a player's alliance becomes dangerously close to completing the game, and an unknown serial bomber has been murdering players in order to clear the game first. Gon and Killua, outclassed by the difficulty of the challenges in the game, are soon joined and trained by an experienced teacher of Nen and kung fu master: Biscuit Krueger. With her help, Gon and Killua begin to take on the challenges of Greed Island and attempt to get closer to Gon's father. In the climax of the arc, Gon faces the serial bomber mano-a-mano and eventually wins Greed Island. Using two of his rewarded cards, Gon and Killua travel to the location of a player whom they believe to be Ging. However, it ends up bringing them to Kite instead.
Alongside Kite, Gon and Killua briefly work as biological researchers in the country of Kakin. As they investigate a giant insect limb found on the country's shores, the group discover it came from a man-sized Chimera Ant queen, an insect that devours other creatures and then gives birth to progeny that inherit the characteristics of the different species it has eaten. The queen washes up onto an island nation called the Neo-Green Life (N.G.L.) Autonomous Region, inhabited by a neo-luddite culture. She quickly develops a taste for humans and builds a colony in order to conceive both an army of offspring and a Chimera Ant king named Meryem. The Chimera Ants proceed to wipe most of the population out before Gon, Killua, and Kite arrive. The queen dies during labor, and the king and his Royal Guards flee the N.G.L., secretly overthrowing the government of the nearby Republic of East Gorteau soon thereafter. Meanwhile, having left the N.G.L. for two months following an attack by the Chimera Ant Royal Guardsman Neferpitou, Gon learns that Kite is being manipulated by the ant and becomes enraged.
Under the guise of the former king of the Republic, Meryem initiates the process of forcibly awakening Nen in the civilians of East Gorteau in order to select soldiers to join his own personal army to conquer the world, and convert the remaining inhabitants to foodstock. As Ants formerly under the queen's rule rejoin the king, the Hunter Association mobilizes quickly to stop the oncoming genocide by sending in an extermination team of Hunters to East Gorteau. Looking for a way to restore Kite to his normal state, Gon and Killua join the extermination team in order to find Neferpitou. The confrontation reaches its peak during a battle between the Chimera Ant King and Netero, the chairman of the Hunters Association, and a second meeting between Neferpitou and Gon.
After the Chimera Ant incident has been resolved, the Hunter Association immediately begins the process of choosing Netero's replacement as Chairman, while the other Hunters try to have a new chairman elected by a voting system proposed by Gon's father Ging, Killua returns home to ask for his younger brother Alluka to help Gon, who is hospitalized in critical condition after his battle with Neferpitou. However, his family is unwilling to risk losing Alluka or having his dangerous powers used against them, but after evading his older brother Illumi's attempts to intercept him, Killua manages to bring Alluka to Gon's side and have him fully recovered, before sealing his powers completely to ensure his brother can have a normal life. After having a brief reunion with his father, Gon meets Kite once more and becomes relived that beside still living as an ant, he returned to his former self.
With the burden of his guilt gone; Gon returns to the Hunter Association to finally question his father only to find that Ging has disappeared, leaving a message to say he would be waiting at the top of the World Tree. Gon and Killua must part ways, and Gon quickly ascends and meets Ging at the peak of the tree. Gon questions Ging about his goals and discovers the true nature of his father's quest. Meanwhile, a man introducing himself as Netero's son Beyond declares that he is assembling an expedition to the "Dark Continent," a remote and unexplored region cut off from the rest of world over 200 years ago.

Masked rider Den-O

Kamen Rider Den-O (仮面ライダー電王 Kamen Raidā Den'ō?, Masked Rider Den-O) is the seventeenth installment in the popular Kamen Rider Series of tokusatsu programs. It is a joint collaboration between Ishimori Productions and Toei. It premiered January 28, 2007 on TV Asahi, and concluded airing on January 20, 2008. Its lead actor Takeru Satoh is the first Kamen Rider Series lead born in the Heisei period of Japanese history.
Along with the usual film adaptation that Heisei Kamen Rider series have released during the late summer of their broadcast run, Den-O had a second film released in the spring following its broadcast run which grossed 730 million yen (approximately US$6.8 million)[1] and a series of ten OVA shorts, both of which are firsts for any Kamen Rider. Continuing the trend, Kamen Rider Den-O also had a third film released in October 2008, the first for any Kamen Rider series[1][2] and a second series of 12 OVA shorts was released in November 2008. Takeru Satoh claims that the reason that Den-O has amassed such popularity is because of its comedic timing.[2] A fourth film was released on May 1, 2009,[3] and three more released in the summer of 2010.
The catchphrases for the series are "Traveling through time, here I come!" (時を超えて 俺、参上! Toki o koete ore, sanjō!?) and "The time train, DenLiner! Will its next stop be in the past or the future" (時の列車デンライナー!次の駅は過去か?未来か

ULTRAMAN

The storyline begins in the near future, as referenced from the mid-1960s (in episode 23, "My Home Is Earth," it is definitively established that the series takes place in the early 1990s, via a plaque shown at the end of the episode dated 1993). Sinister aliens and giant monsters constantly threaten civilization during this period. The only Earth organization equipped to handle these disasters is the Science Special Search Party, or SSSP, a special worldwide police force equipped with high-tech weapons and vehicles, as well as extensive scientific and engineering facilities; this organization is called the Science Patrol, or the United Nations Scientific Investigation Agency, in the English-dubbed version syndicated in the United States. The branch of the Science Patrol that is focused on in the series is located in Tokyo, Japan. Led by Captain "Cap" Toshio Muramatsu (shortened to "Captain Mura" in the dubbed English-language version), the Science Patrol is always ready to protect the Earth from rampaging monsters, but sometimes it finds itself outclassed. When the situation becomes desperate, Shin Hayata, the Patrol's most capable member, holds the key to salvation in the form of the "Beta Capsule," which, when activated, allows him to transform secretly into the super-humanoid-powered giant from space, who becomes known to the people of Earth as Ultraman.
Ultraman remains until the threat is neutralized and then flies away to revert back to Hayata (this was shown twice by Ultraman firing a ring of energy from his hands that would fly to safe location and then energy from it would materialize Hayata even as Ultraman fades away at the same time). Ultraman's victory is never assured however, as Ultraman's powers—his very life force—comes from rapidly depleted, stored solar energy. At the beginning of each transformation from Hayata-to-Ultraman, the "warning light" on the giant's chest begins as a steady blue color. Yet as Ultraman exerts himself, the "Color Timer," as it is also called, turns red, then blinks—slowly at first, then with increasing rapidity—as his energy reserves get closer to exhaustion. As the voice-over narration reminds the viewer, beginning with episode 2 and for each episode thereafter, if Ultraman ever reaches the point of total energy depletion, he "will never rise again."
In episode 39, "Farewell Ultraman," Ultraman fights an enemy called Zetton, leader of an army of monsters bent on destroying all the Ultra-Crusaders, who employs an unexpected weapon against Ultraman—one which damages his Color Timer/warning light and disables his ability to measure his power supply. As a result, Ultraman stays in his full-size form too long and collapses into a dormant state. Fortunately, despite this loss, the Science Patrol's members are able to defeat Zetton on their own. When Zoffy, Ultraman's superior, comes to retrieve the fallen hero, Ultraman pleads for Hayata's life and offers his life completely, so that Hayata may live as a normal man. Zoffy then says he has brought two life-forces and that he will give one to Hayata. He then separates them, giving Hayata new life, but Hayata seems to have no memory between the time he first collides with Ultraman's ship (in the first episode), and his standing outside Science Patrol Headquarters as he watches Zoffy take Ultraman home. This is a rather different finish to the series than stated in the English dub, which states both that Ultraman will return and that Hayata retains his beta capsule as he awaits Ultraman's return.

SHAMMAN KING

File:ShamanKingvCover01.jpg

Manta Oyamada, a shrimpy, studious middle-school student from Tokyo, attempts a shortcut one night through the graveyard to get home after a late night of cram school. While travelling through it, he encounters Yoh Asakura and his "companions": a graveyard filled with ghosts. Yoh reveals himself to be a shaman, a medium between the world of the living and the world of the dead. Yoh also demonstrates shamans' ability to unite with ghosts to achieve a shared goal. Quickly after meeting one another, Yoh and Manta become best friends while Yoh uses his shamanic abilities to help them out through various tasks.
The Shaman Fight is a battle held once every 500 years between competing shamans to choose a winner who will become the highly sought-after "Shaman King", one who is able to contact the Great Spirit (the spirit that every soul will eventually go back to). The winner gains the ability to reshape the world in any way they want. Anna Kyoyama, Yoh's fiancée, soon enters the picture and prescribes a brutal training regimen, in order to prepare Yoh for the tournament. Thus begins the plot that will lead Yoh on a journey that will lead him to befriend Ryu, Tao Ren, Horohoro, Faust VIII, Lyserg Diethel, and Joco.
During the Shaman Fight, Yoh encounters Hao Asakura, a strong shaman who wishes to eradicate humans and create a world for shamans. At the end of the shaman battles where the remaining teams consist of Yoh and his friends, the X-Laws, and Hao's team, the remaining teams decide to forfeit the tournament crowning Hao the title of Shaman King. As Hao is led away, they decide to attack Hao during the time he is merging with the great spirit which is in a coma. To do so, Yoh and his friends must defeat The Patch Tribe members who are obliged to serve under the new Shaman King.
Once defeating the ten Patch members, Hao is awakened as the Shaman King. He defeats Yoh and all his friends and absorbs their souls.[1] Inside the Great Spirit, Yoh, Ren, Horohoro, Lyserg, and Chocolove battle Hao with the five legendary spirits; The Spirit of Earth, the Spirit of Thunder, the Spirit of Rain, the Spirit of Fire and the Spirit of Wind. When associates of Yoh and his friends begin appearing in the Great Spirit, it is revealed the Great Spirit granted Hao's wish so someone may bring back his mother's spirit. With Anna's help, Hao's mother is brought to the Great Spirit. Hao's mother tells him he must forgive the Humans for murdering her in order to be saved. Hao decides to postpone his plan to eradicate humans and to observe how Yoh and his friends will change the world.
Seven years later, Hana Asakura awaits at a station for the five legendary warriors and his parents, Yoh and Anna.

ULTRAMAN

The story begins in the near future, as reported by mid-1960 (in episode 23, "My house is the Earth," is definitely established that the series takes place in early 1990, through a plaque displayed at the end of Episode dated 1993). Sinister aliens and giant monsters constantly threaten civilization during this period. The organization Earth only able to handle these disasters is the special research group of science, or SSSP, a special force of police forces around the world with high-tech weapons and vehicles, as well as the extensive scientific and engineering structures, this organization is called Science Patrol, or scientific research agency of the United Nations, in the English dubbed unions in the United States. Led by Captain "Cap 'Toshio Muramatsu (shortened to" Captain Mura "in dubbed English version), the Science Patrol is always ready to protect the Earth from rampaging monsters, but sometimes it is outclassed. When the situation becomes desperate, Hayata Shin, a member longer Patrol, holds the key to salvation in the form of "Beta Capsule", which, when activated, allows him to transform secretly in the humanoid super-powered giant from space, becomes known to the people of Earth, as Ultraman.
Ultraman will remain until the threat is neutralized and then flies away to return to Hayata (this has been shown twice by Ultraman shoot a ring of energy from his hands flying to a safe place and then it would materialize Hayata energy vanishes as Ultraman away at the same time). Ultraman victory is never guaranteed, however, as Ultraman's powers-his very life force comes from rapidly depleted, stored solar energy. At the beginning of each transformation from Hayata-Ultraman-to, the "spy" on the chest of the giant begins as a set color blue. Yet as Ultraman exerts himself, the "Color Timer", as it is called, turns red, then flashes, first slowly, then with increasing rapidity, as its reserves of energy close to exhaustion. As the voiceover reminds the viewer, starting with Episode 2 and for each subsequent episode, if Ultraman ever reaches the point of exhaustion of the total energy, he "will never rise again."
In Episode 39, "Farewell, Ultraman," Ultraman fights an enemy called Zetton, leading an army of monsters bent on destroying all Ultra-Crusaders, which employs a weapon Ultraman-one against unexpected damage its color timer / lamp and disables its ability to measure its power. As a result, Ultraman remains in its size is too long and collapses in a dormant state. Fortunately, despite this loss, the members of the patrol of science are able to defeat Zetton on their own. When Zoffy, Ultraman's superior, is to retrieve the fallen hero, Ultraman pleads for Hayata's life and offers his life completely, so that Hayata may live as a normal man. Zoffy then says he brought two forces of life and give one to Hayata. It then separates, giving Hayata new life, but Hayata seems to have no memory of the time it collides with the first ship Ultraman (in the first episode), and its location off-site Science Patrol and Ultraman notes Zoffy take home. This is a finish to the series somewhat different than stated in the English dub, which says that Ultraman is back and that keeps her Hayata beta capsule while waiting for the return of Ultraman.

Treasure Planet

Prologue of the film depicts Jim Hawkins as three years (voiced by Austin Majors) reading a storybook to read. Jim is enchanted by the tales of the legendary pirate Captain Flint and his ability to appear from nowhere, raid passing ships, and disappear, to hide the loot on the mysterious "Treasure Planet". Twelve years later, Jim (now the voice of Joseph Gordon-Levitt) has become a distant and alienated teenager. He is shown begrudgingly helping his mother Sarah (Laurie Metcalf) run an inn and deriving amusement from "solar surfing" (a hybrid of skysurfing and windsurfing atop a board attached to a rocket powered by solar energy), a pastime he often gets him into trouble.
One day, a spaceship crashes near the inn. The pilot dies, Billy Bones (Patrick McGoohan), gives Jim a sphere and tells him to "beware the cyborg". Shortly after, a band of pirates plunder and burn the inn. Jim, his mother, and their dog-like friend Dr. Delbert Doppler (David Hyde Pierce) barely escape. The sphere turns out to be a holographic projector, showing a map that Jim realizes leads to Treasure Planet.
Doppler commissions a ship called the RLS Legacy, on a mission to find Treasure Planet. The ship is commanded by the cat-like, quick-witted Captain Amelia (Emma Thompson), together with his partner from the skin of stone and covered in the first place, Mr. Arrow (Roscoe Lee Browne). The crew is a diverse group, secretly led by cook John Silver (Brian Murray), who Jim suspects is the cyborg he was warned. Jim is sent to work in the kitchen, despite his mistrust of Silver, soon forming a tenuous relationship between father and son (a montage with the song "I'm Still Here" shows Jim and the bond cyborg on various sailing chores, interspersed with childhood flashbacks of Jim, during which his father appears indifferent to him, and finally leaves without warning when Jim is a pre-teen). During a meeting with a supernova, Silver falls in water but is rescued by Jim. The supernova then devolved into a black hole, where Arrow is adrift at sea and is lost, so Jim is criticized for failing to ensure the lines of life, while, in fact, Arrow has been cut by a crew member insectoid ruthless named Scroop (Michael Wincott).
As the ship reaches Treasure Planet, mutiny erupts, led by Silver. Jim, Doppler and Amelia abandon ship, leaving the map behind unintentionally. Silver, who believes that Jim has the map, has the opportunity to kill Jim, but refuses to do so because of his attachment to the boy. The escapees were shot down by a mutineer during their escape, causing injury to Amelia.
While exploring Treasure Planet Forests, the fugitives meet BEN (Martin Short), an abandoned robot extravagant claims to have lost much of his memory and invites them to his house to treat the wounded Amelia. The pirates corner the group here: using a back-door, Jim and BEN return to the ship in an attempt to retrieve the map. Scroop, aboard the ship as lookout, stalks and fights Jim. BEN, working to sabotage the ship's artillery, accidentally turns off the artificial gravity, after Jim and Scroop threaten to float in space. Jim takes the pole, while Scroop becomes entangled in the flag and cut free, while Scroop floats away, presumably to his death. Jim and B.E.N. obtain the map. On their return, they are captured by Silver, who has already captured Doppler and Amelia.
When Jim is forced to use the map, the group finds their way to a portal that can be opened anywhere in the universe, this being the means by which Flint conducted his raids. The treasure is at the center of the planet, accessible only via the portal. Treasure Planet is proving to be a large space station built by unknown architects and seconded by Flint. In light of the Treasury, Jim meets the skeletal remains of Flint itself, with a missing piece of computer cognitive Ben. Jim replaces this piece, causing B.E.N. to remember that the planet is about to explode at the time of the discovery of the treasure. In the ensuing catastrophe, Silver finds himself torn between holding on a literal boat load of gold and saving Jim, hanging from a cliff after a fall. Silver saves Jim, and the group escapes to the Legacy, which is corrupt and lacks the driving force necessary to leave the planet in time to escape. Jim attaches a rocket to a thin plate of metal and rides to the portal to open in a new location, while Doppler pilots the ship behind him. Jim manages to open the portal to his world of origin spaceport, through which all fleeing the destruction of Treasure Planet.
After the flight, Amelia has the surviving pirates imprisoned aboard the ship and offered to recommend Jim Interstellar Academy for his heroic actions. Silver sneaks below deck, where Jim finds him preparing his escape. Jim lets him go, inheriting Silver shape-changing pet called Morph (Dane A. Davis). Silver expected to Jim "to shake the stars", then throws a handful of jewels and gold he had taken from Treasure Planet to pay for the reconstruction of the inn. The film ends with a party at the rebuilt inn, showing Doppler and Amelia now married with children, and Jim a military cadet. He looks to the sky and sees the image of Silver in the clouds.
